Coffin Joe Returns In Brazilian Splatter Anthology THE BLACK FABLES

One of world horror's true icons makes a welcome return to screens with word that Coffin Joe (Jose Mojica Marins) is on board as one of the four directors of the upcoming Brazilian splatter anthology The Black Fables (As Fabulas Negras) and will also star. SFX artist and splatter-meister Rodrigo Aragao also directs while supervising the project as a whole with Petter Baiestorf and Joel Caetano rounding out the director roster.

Put together on a tiny budget - most of which appears to have been spent on blood and creatures - there's no release date for the film just yet but there is a full, English subtitled trailer for the piece which you can get a look at below. This is much more run and gun than Marins' usual fare but he's clearly having a blast, as are all involved.
