New RE:BORN Training Video Gives Sakaguchi Tak Ninja Skills
It is with no small amount of enthusiasm that we have been following the development of Re:Born, the comeback, and potentially final, action film for Japanese martial arts star Sakaguchi Tak. The latest in a series of videos has surfaced, documenting Tak's training for the film, which goes in front of cameras in early 2015, sees him receiving expert "zero range combat" tutelage from Master Inagawa Yoshitaka.

Inagawa has trained numerous special forces units around the world in close quarters combat, "based on the ancient Japanese warrior spirit, Samurai and Ninja war skills". Just the idea of tuning up a talented performer like Tak with these kinds of skills sets has us salivating for what Re:Born will bring to the screen. Plot details for the film are still undisclosed right now, but the film does reunite Tak with his Death Trance director and action choreographer Shimomura Yuji.

That's some sweet karambit work.

I don't know who has a bigger ego..Tak or Yen? I do however know none of them will ever surpass the ego of one Mr. Steven Seagal.

versus is still one my favourite indie Japanese films and remains so for good reasons. TaK work after it was never to the same level and though I felt like Death Trance was interesting, I always believed (the short film he did with Kitamura proves this) TaK was always best buddied with Ryuhei Kitamura. God I look forward to them reuniting. That being said, I am getting more and more excited about this project and I am hoping its a return to form. Though Tak does look like he has aged and put on a bit of weight over the years

Having spoken with both in person, that'd be Yen. No question.
