Win Miike Takashi's LESSON OF EVIL On DVD Or Blu-ray!
Lesson of Evil is Miike's welcome return to his exploitation roots, after a few years experimenting with goofy kids films (Yatterman, Ninja Kids!) and austere period epics (13 Assassins, Hara-kiri: Death of a Samurai). Ito Hideaki stars as handsome middle-school English teacher Mr. Hasumi, who wins over even the most reluctant of students with his charismatic and engaging teaching methods. However, before long we realise Hasumi is actually a mentally unhinged serial killer, who begins targeting his own pupils.
To quote my earlier review of the film:
