Director Ben Arfmann turned heads at SXSW with his seven minute POV short film Random Stop. Based on the true story of a sheriff's deputy encountering an aggressive driver on the road this is raw and powerful stuff, enough so that it's just been made a selection of Short Of The Week and is now available to watch online in its entirety. Check it out below.

Hello, this message is for the director. Providing he checks this post to see how the film is being received.

Firstly, congrats on the success and exposure you are garnering from this film, good job!

Secondly, the production of it is good - every aspect of the film from a technical perspective is of a professional standard. Again, great job!

My only problem with the film is the 'banter' between husband and wife. Yes, it was very purposeful and you only had a short window to create the relationship and give the film it's protagonist that the audience can identify with. However, the dialogue was shallow, unrealistic, and dare I say it, almost cringe worthy is parts. I had to stop watching the film at one point. I then came back to it hours later to finish it off.

Once the film kicked into gear, it really did. I can see your talents for directing intensity, and things of raw realism.

I just feel that the dialogue was underdeveloped. I hope you can take this on board as constructive criticism.
