Wong Kar Wai Adapting Romantic Drama I BELONGED TO YOU

Hong Kong auteur Wong Kar Wai appears to have his next project, author Zhang Jiajia posting on his Weibo account that WKW has licensed a short tale called The Ferryman from his collection I Belonged To You. The story revolves around a woman having an affair with a married artist and while backers Mei Ah had already announced that Wong would be shooting something in 2015 this is the first indication as to what.

A very popular anthology of stories, several other segments of I Belonged To You have reportedly been licensed for adaptation by other film companies though WKW's segment will almost certainly be the most high profile for international audiences.
