The Many Faces Of Willem Dafoe

This week sees the premiere of The Fault In Our Stars, (for a review click here), co-starring Willem Dafoe in a supporting but important role. And that's all the encouragement we need here at ScreenAnarchy to have him featured in this week's quiz. Because for the last three decades, Willem has been consistently awesome in literally dozens of films.

Some people manage to somehow fall outside of the regular descriptions of "ugly" and "beautiful", managing to be both simultaneously, and Willem Dafoe certainly belongs in this category. It is always amazing to see someone with such a particularly recognizable, interesting face being able to play so many different characters, and so believably as well. He is easily one of the best actors in the world today, movie or otherwise.

Therefore, once again here is a gallery of twelve close-ups of one of our favorite thespians to make a quiz, so click through the images and guess which twelve movies they're from. No competition, no prizes, just for fun, try to see how far you get without using IMDb.

And I'll post the answers on Thursday, unless someone names them all correctly...

Kurt Halfyard contributed to this story.

And here he is in The Fault in our Stars, as the reclusive writer Peter van Houten.

This shot doesn't count yet as part of the quiz, but all the next ones do. So flick through the gallery and have a go!

How can you leave off Mississippi Burning? He owned that role, plus he got slapped by Gene Hackman for god's sake!!

Wow! Did I leave the answers in the article by accident (don't laugh, it has happened before)?

Bar the numbering on the top four (FAULT wasn't part of the quiz, so it should have been 0, 1, 2, 3...), these are all correct!
