Writer-director-stars Derek Lee and Clif Prowse walked away from Fantastic Fest 2013 as big winners, their debut feature Afflicted taking away honors as Best Picture, Best Screenplay and Best Director in the horror section of the festival. And now general audiences will get the chance to see why with the film hitting VOD and limited theatrical release on April 4.

This terrifying horror thriller follows two best friends who set out on the trip of a lifetime around the world. Their journey, documented every step of the way, soon takes a dark and unexpected turn after an encounter with a beautiful woman in Paris leaves one of them mysteriously afflicted.
