THE GRANDMASTER Sweeps Asian Film Awards
Wong Kar Wai's martial arts bio-pic of Ip Man, The Grandmaster, took home seven awards including Best Film at the 8th Asian Film Awards, hosted in Macau last night. Wong was named Best Director, while Zhang Ziyi collected the Best Actress prize. The film was also awarded for Best Composer, Best Cinematographer, Best Production Designer and Best Costume Designer.

Elsewhere, Ritesh Batra was named Best Screenwriter for his drama The Lunchbox, while its star Ifran Khan was named Best Actor. Huang Bo took the Best Supporting Actor prize for Ning Hao's No Man's Land, and Yeo Yann Yann was named Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Anthony Chen's Ilo Ilo.

Jiang Shuying was named Best Newcomer for her work in Zhao Wei's So Young, Shin Min-kyung collected the Best Editor prize for South Korean thriller Cold Eyes, while her compatriot Jung Sung-jin won the Best Visual Effects award for Mr. Go
