Gone With The Bullets
, Jiang Wen's spiritual sequel to his monster hit Let The Bullets Fly
, will arrive in cinemas across mainland China in 3D on 18 December, according to a newly released teaser trailer.
Back in 2010, Let The Bullets Fly broke box office records in China, proving that director-star Jiang Wen had widespread mainstream appeal, in addition to critical acclaim. While this follow-up is not a precise sequel, it is being made very much in the same spirit of the earlier film, reuniting Jiang with co-star Ge You, who will be joined by Shu Qi, Wang Zhiwen, Wen Zhang and Zhou Yun in the 1920s-set comedy actioner, reported to revolve around a beauty pageant.
With filming recently completed, a first teaser trailer has been unveiled, as well as some rather flashy teaser posters, staking the film's claim on China's traditional end-of-year battle for box office supremacy. You can check them all out below.
