Giveaway: EVIL IN THE TIME OF HEROES, Billy Zane, Zombies, Action, Comedy, Horror, Promo Codes!

Not your average Greek art house drama, Evil in the Time of Heroes stars the inimitable Billy Zane in a tale of zombies featuring the apocalypse and Greek mythology. (?!) We have promo codes to give away to five lucky readers -- but only for those in the U.S.

(No slur intended to our large global audience, which by and large is more handsome, intelligent, and in shape than those of us who live in the States.)

As of Tuesday, March 25, the movie is available to watch via various Video On Demand platforms, via Doppelganger Releasing, which is handling the distribution. According to our own Matthew Lee:

It's ridiculous, frequently abandons any pretence of making logical sense, sticks two fingers up at audience expectations and includes Billy Zane, for no apparent reason. It's also one of the most purely entertaining genre films in years. That's a rather more subjective judgement than usual, given Heroes comes with some nasty flaws, but it's so consistently, hysterically audacious and stupidly excessive it's very difficult not to love it regardless.

(Read Matthew's entire review here.)

Here's the official verbiage: :

Greece's first-ever foray into the gnashingly popular zombie apocalypse sub-genre, Evil in the Time of Heroes is an epic Greek action-horror-comedy zombie film that requires little introduction. An ancient evil has transformed the population of modern-day Athens into flesh-hungry undead--just as it did nearly 3,000 years earlier. A rag-tag group of four survivors--a taxi driver, a pair of hot-blooded soldiers, and a doctor--must shoot, stab, decapitate, vivisect, impale and just plain bulldoze their way through swarms of insatiable zombies, not to mention a bunch of nasty, degenerate humans. They receive some unexpected help from the ancient world in the form of immortal cloaked hero Prophitis (Titanic's Billy Zane, in an Obi-Wan Kenobi-like guest appearance!), who arrives to randomly slice and dice the zombie horde and impart the wisdom of the ages upon the surviving humans.

Between Matthew's review and the official synopsis, you should know by now if you want to see the film, written and directed by Yorgos Noussias.

As noted, this is for U.S. residents only, and is only available via iTunes. So if you're good with that, please send us an email with your name, and confirm that you are a U.S. resident and that you want to watch Greek zombies in action. We'll select five people at random from entries received by 11:59 p.m. E.S.T. on Thursday, March 27, 2014.
