Hobbits and elves and humans, oh my! Yes, kids, the second installment in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit trilogy hits screens December 13 and that means it's time for a new trailer along with some character banners that may very well have been kicking around for a bit now but today was the first I'd noticed them. For those unfamiliar with the story it goes 'Small hobbit, big dragon.' This one is the dragony bit. Check out the trailer below.

Apparently you guys haven't read the book... Jackson was so true to the story of the book, and I am not sure why many people didn't enjoy it. Yes a bit slow at getting started, but the book is like that too!!! Ughhh
People are frustrating... Can never please anyone!

This one looks even better!! Can't wait. Looking forward to this :)

Not to attack your opinion TKD007, but I respectfully disagree.

Yes the book takes a little while to get going, but the book is also very short. The lag in the book is only two or three chapters, not three quarters of a whole movie. There was never enough content to make into three movies.

And the less said about all these "extended notes" additions to the story the better. What was wrong with the book as it was?

Judging by this trailer, the third film will probably consist entirely of the final battle scene. a 3 hour battle scene! It'll be Return of the King all over again.

For the love of Odin, Peter Jackson, just cut it out.
