The YouTubers have taken over. If you're over a certain age you may not have noticed this while it was happening, but it very definitely has. I know this because I have A Boy. And The Boy, as I've noticed, spends far more time on YouTube than watching any sort of traditional media. He's rather fond of Freddie Wong, for one. Tobuscus, for another. DanIsNotOnFire for a third. But an enduring favorite, resting right at the top of the heap, are Smosh.

The duo of Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla have been regulars at our dinner table, though I've never actually met them. Skits, songs, random gags, video game play throughs ... and a particular favorite are their long running series of If It Were Real videos. They do exactly what it says on the tin. What if this game was real? What if this movie was real? They play it out and see what happens.
