It's Donnie Yen Versus Ken Lo In Another Clip From SPECIAL ID
How much fighting can there be left to see from upcoming Donnie Yen star vehicle Special ID? The onslaught of trailers and clips from the film continues and when they all look as good as this it's awfully hard to complain, though I do really hope that they're holding back some of the big stuff. This time out it's Donnie Yen versus Ken Lo. Check it out below.

Was looking forward to this. Seemed like the fight choreography was going to be more like Flashpoint but this is all slapstick.

Just saw the movie an hour ago and I have to say this was a true piece of garbage. Nonsensical story, horrendous acting and worst of all for a Donnie yen film, bland action. If this movie did one thing effectively, it was to showcase his complete and utter lack of acting skill. It hurts to write these coz I'm a huge fan but this movie is an unpardonable crime and he deserves to be punished for it, considering he is also one of the producers. The mainland Chinese collaboration is killing HK movies creative by forcing in subpar actors and government approved scripts. Need to purge my memory of it by rewatching SPL, over and over again.

From the previews alone, this is a great movie and vehicle for MMA to be showcased again. I think reviewers are just being cynical and refuse to give this movie its fair due. But the utter bashing of Donnie and Special ID is just not warranted. The reviews have been unbalanced and negative. Donnie and his team worked hard on this movie. If it wasn't what you expected, then enjoy it for the things you did like about it and talk that up. However, no one seems to want to do that. I find that rather strange. Smh. I love everything Donnie does because I take away value from each of his works.

Ah, right. Because there's never been a bad movie with a good trailer before, right? More power to you if you like it - I'm still looking forward to seeing it when I have a chance in a couple weeks - but the reality is that when the large majority of reviews are negative it's not because there's some grand conspiracy, it's because most people just don't like the movie. And how hard people may have worked on it has nothing to do with anything.
