Five Flavours Film Festival Is A Dream Come True For Polish Fans Of Asian Cinema

Five Flavours Film Festival is in its seventh year and though still not as famous as it should be considering the impressive programme, it's probably the only reliable connection between this part of Europe and some solid Asian cinema. 

The main treat of this year's edition is the official Polish premiere of Wong Kar-Wai's The Grandmaster. Apart from that the audience will find a notable bunch of low-budget, fresh and totally interesting indies from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand, a Nakashima Tetsuya retrospective, a fantastic selection of Johnnie To classics, among other special screenings. Even though there is really a lot of exciting movies to see during the festival still the biggest treat this year is the Night of Horror and Thriller (which includes three intense and gut-wrenching movies - Lesson of the Evil, Dream Home, Countdown). You certainly don't want to miss that much excitement filled with gore, blood, and Ito Hideaki's marvelous gun-toting antihero in Miike Takashi's newest cinematic bloodbath.
