Karlovy Vary International Film Festival Announces An Impressive Line Up
A couple of days ago Karlovy Vary International Film Festival programmers teased us with the first news about some of the films (including Mood Indigo on opening night) they have selected for this year's edition of one of the oldest film festivals in the world, known for its superb appreciation of high-class cinema. Well the teaser was cool and all but the official line up, which has just been announced on their website, is simply top-notch.

The selections surely put a smile on many cinephiles' faces, especially those living in the Eastern part of Europe. Comprised of eight distinct sections, the festival boasts many World, European, and Czech premieres. There are more than 180 movies to explore, including an impressive bunch of pictures that screened at other festivals like Sundance or Berlinale: Ain't Them Bodies Saints, Behind the Candelabra, Frances Ha, and Fruitvale Station

Besides those widely known titles, there's also a massive number of rather unrecognizable yet truly valuable films (both feature and short) that are worth seeing, for their tasteful offbeat appeal: In the Shadow, The Sea, To The Woods, among others. If you're up for a good scare watch V/H/S/2, if you'd rather experience a recently restored classic be sure to catch Hitchcock's 1929 The Ring. There's really lot to do during the nine wonderful days in Karlovy Vary. Take a look on the whole line up here, and be warned, the films there might exceed your biggest expectations.

Karlovy Vary International Film Festival takes place from June 28 to July 6. In order to make sure you see everything that you want reserve the tickets in advance from June 24.

And if you're still not satisfied with the program you can also take part in a little contest prepared by the organizers in collaboration with Air France and win tickets to Paris!
