Trailer For Swedish Thriller RE. Someone Else Is In The House!
While Sweden may not be a hotbed for genre cinema, thankfully there are a handful of filmmakers in the country who feel that Sweden's exports should be more than just bikini teams, easy to assemble furniture, meatballs, and pop quartets.

Enter filmmaker Andreas Lindergard, who returned to Sweden in 2006 after a lengthy stay in Los Angeles. And after cutting his teeth on television and short film projects, he has gotten one of his own films RE in the can now, and we have the first trailer to share with you.

"RE is a psychological thriller where we follow Emma as she returns to her childhood home only to find her past catching up with her. She is well aware that some things are not real, still she is drawn towards a path beyond reality. Emma also finds herself attracted to what scares her the most, the neighbor she can not remember ever having been living in the house close by. It is a film in the spirit of 60's films, with some subtle visual references to movies like Repulsion and the like."

With a couple of exceptions, one would think that genre filmmakers in Sweden are content creating quiet and intimate thrillers. Lindergard's film would appear to follow suit, which is fine by us here at ScreenAnarchy, as we have been more than pleased with the output from that nation as of late. RE is currently is post production and is looking forward to a successful festival circuit run this summer and fall.
