Li Bingbing Joins TRANSFORMERS 4
Mainland actress Li Bingbing has been announced as the first Chinese star to join Michael Bay's Transformers 4, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The co-production between Paramount Pictures, Jiaflix Enterprises and China Movie Channel is planning to feature a number of high profile Chinese stars in the cast, to appear alongside Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz and Stanley Tucci. Li is the first to be announced, although no information was given about her role.

The production, which is due to start filming later this year, at least partly in China, is slated for a 27 June 2014 release date. This is just 3 weeks before the release of Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past is set for release, which co-stars fellow mainland actress Fan Bingbing.

With both actresses committed to breaking into Hollywood - and looking set to have their big breaks within a few weeks of each other - lets hope American audiences don't get their Bingbing's mixed up, or it might prove disadvantageous for both parties.
