Exciting First Trailer for Benny Chan's THE WHITE STORM
Hot on the heels of Johnnie To's Drug War, the latest Hong Kong film about the Asian drug war is coming soon!

The White Storm - originally touted by Universe under the title Metamorphosis at HK Filmart earlier this year - comes from director Benny Chan and stars three of Hong Kong's top actors: Louis Koo, Lau Ching Wan and Nick Cheung. It's the first time the trio has appeared together on screen.

Benny Chan has been making some of Hong Kong's most entertaining action films since the early 90s, including the Andy Lau classic A Moment of Romance, the criminally underrated Big Bullet, 2005's Divergence that gave Aaron Kwok his first acting award, Jackie Chan's New Police Story, and the more recent Invisible Target, Connected and Shaolin.

The White Storm is a big budget production that was filmed in Hong Kong, Macau and Thailand, and the film's first trailer will give you a taste of its intense drama and high octane action. Enjoy!

After the awful COLD WAR, I'm happy to see there's still reason to look for HK movies with anticipation!

Lau Ching Wan has occasionally used Sean Lau, his "Western" name, for years.

has the release date been moved up to 2013, or is it still early 2014?!

fishcadoMay 17, 2013 9:36 AM

He hasn't used it in years. When? Lunch with Charles? smh....

I was equally baffled. Trying to skew younger, maybe? He'll always be Lau Ching Wan to me. The Robert Mitchum of HK Cinema. He can call himself Bozo Sprinkles for all I care- I'm just glad he's back in gritty dramas.

Mark,
I heard they are aiming to release The White Storm in Asia at the end of 2013.
