Australia's Hoyts Distribution Becomes StudioCanal

In what is largely a formal change after the French production and distribution company acquired Hoyts Distribution in July last year, the Australian and New Zealand distributor will now be known officially as StudioCanal. Hopefully this also means a step up for Hoyts/StudioCanal on the distribution front in Australia and New Zealand, especially with locally produced films that have serious international ambitions. 

Currently the distributor has Broken City and The Host in local cinemas. The change doesn't include Hoyts Cinemas, the big exhibition chain.
