Canada's MY AWKWARD SEXUAL ADVENTURE Will Be Translated For French and Korean Remakes

Sex sells! Remake rights for Sean Garrity's My Awkward Sexual Adventure have been sold to companies in France and South Korea, according to The Hollywood Reporter, proving once again that sex is truly the international language.

The Canadian sex comedy debuted at last year's Toronto International Film Festival, and has since gained distribution deals in the U.S. (Tribeca Films), France (Entertainment One), and South Korea (Joy-N Contents). From the official synopsis:

When uptight accountant Jordan Abrams proposes marriage to his life-long soul mate Rachel, she finally reveals the painful truth: he's terrible in bed. Frustrated and deeply unsatisfied, Rachel dumps him, and Jordan embarks on a desperate mission to seek some much-needed sexual experience and acquire some basic requisite skills. Committed to doing whatever it takes to win Rachel back, Jordan enlists the guidance of Julia - a sexually liberated but emotionally guarded exotic dancer - who leads him into an unfamiliar world of strip clubs, sensual massage parlors, cross-dressing and S & M.

Jonas Chernick, Emily Hampshire, Sarah Manninen, and Vik Sahay star; Chernick wrote the screenplay; Sean Garrity directed.

Senorita Films in France and Zamie Pictures in Korea are the companies that acquired French- and Korean-language remake rights, respectively.
