Today's Nolan News: Christopher In Talks To Direct Brother Jonathan's Script INTERSTELLAR
More heady sci-fi filmmaking could be on the horizon for Christopher Nolan, director of those Batman movies, Inception and Memento. He is in talks to produce and direct, Interstellar, based on a script by his brother Jonathan, which in turn is based on a treatment by CalTech gravitational physicist and astrophysicist Kip Thorne.

Prior to Jonathan Nolan's scripting involvement, Interstellar began as a treatment written by Thorne and producer Lynda Obst back when Spielberg was attached. According to Thorne, Interstellar concerns what he calls "the warped side of the universe" Movieline

This would mark the fifth time (more or less, Momento was simply based on Jonah's short story) that the brothers' creative juices will be combined to concoct the cinematic equivalent of... of... look, I'm not the creative one here, Chris and Jonathan are. Call it what you will: protein shake, juice bar, swamp juice, vodka tonic? It boils down to good cinema.

The story involves time travel and alternate dimensions and sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole. THR

I've included a video of Kip Thorne explaining his theories about warped time. It is pure science babble but should give an idea of the science that Chris and Jonathan will attempt to explain to us non-science types. Bring it!
