NSFW Extended Trailer for CRAZY HORSE: FEU in 3D!

After catching Frederick Wiseman's fascinating expose into the infamous Paris burlesque club on the festival circuit earlier this year, I had to admit that while Crazy Horse was a rivetting and revealing peek behind the velvet curtain, what I really wanted was more of the fantastic nude dance numbers. And not solely because I'm a dirty old perv, they were incredibly well lit, shot, scored and choreographed.

If anybody else felt the same way, then fear not, as our prayers have been answered. Crazy Horse: Feu dispenses with the backstage documentary, and is instead 80 minutes of gorgeous, talented lovelies strutting their stuff in a series of fantastically worked routines. The performances are broken up by a lengthy interview with choreographer Christian Louboutin about his influences and vision for the show, as well as brief moments with the dancers themselves, as they share their motivations for embarking on such a niche career path.

This evening I was lucky enough to catch Feu as part of the French Cinepanorama here in Hong Kong. The film, which has been post-converted into 3D by Bruno Hullin to add glitter and sparkle to the performances, confidently rises above cheap striptease to deliver 80 minutes of artistic celebration of the female form. While it doesn't warrant much of a review beyond this, I did feel this was an opportune moment to share an extended 7-minute trailer for Crazy Horse: Feu, which gives an accurate taster of what the film delivers. So, if Wim Wenders' Pina was a little high-brow for your tastes, or Step Up 3D had too much plot, character development and clothing, then this might be just the film for you.

Please note that this may not be safe for viewing in your workplace - there is nudity abound, which while extremely tasteful, might not wash with the boss. But when you get a spare few minutes, be sure to check it out, as it's really rather good.
