EXCLUSIVE: First Stills From Apocalyptic Thriller THESE FINAL HOURS!
One of my most-anticipated films of 2013 is These Final Hours, an apocalyptic thriller that takes place on the last day on Earth. Written and directed by Perth filmmaker Zak Hilditch, the film is shaping up to be another fantastic addition to the Australian New Wave of genre cinema currently making a very distinct mark around the world.

Starring Nathan Phillips, These Final Hours recently finished filming in and around Perth, Western Australia. Phillips plays James, a self-obsessed young man determined to make his way to the party to end all parties on the last day on Earth. However he ends up saving the life of a little girl (Angourie Rice) searching for her father, and she ultimately leads him on the path to redemption.

Now, as a ScreenAnarchy exclusive, we have the first stills from the film to show you. There's lots going on in these images. While we've already brought you a shot of Daniel Henshall as party-boy Freddy, we have our first images of Phillips and Rice in character, and a glimpse of the party. There's the first look at Kathryn Beck's character wielding a gun. We also see Phillips staggering away from a burning taxi. And speaking of cars, there's also a shot of Phillips standing alongside a fiery-orange GT Ford Falcon. Now, that is a badass car. I can't wait to see how these images fit into the film.

Love that back lit shot in the tunnel.

Sorry, but FAIL. That is not orange GT Falcon. It's an XB Falcon 500 (about 1974) with a 250 cui crossflow six. That's a 4.1L six, as against a 5.8L 351cui V8. Nice car, but FAIL.
