THE LAST STAND TRAILER Shows More Action, But Arnold Is Still The Sheriff

The second trailer for Kim Jee-woon's The Last Stand is longer than the first one, allowing more time to establish action-filled nighttime scenes before Arnold Schwarzenegger makes his first appearance as a small-time sheriff.

It's a wise choice, giving the impression that the film, featuring Schwarzenegger's first starring role in almost 10 years, will be doing more than simply making jokes about the Austrian's advancing years. It also showcases more of the expansive, jacked-up vibe that director Kim created for The Good, The Bad, The Weird, and that's (potentially) a very good thing indeed.

The Last Stand also stars Johnny Knoxville, Forest Whitaker, Eduardo Noriega, Rodrigo Santoro, Jaimie Alexander, Luis Guzmán, Peter Stormare, Zach Gilford, and Genesis Rodriguez. The film is due for a wide theatrical release in the U.S. on January 18. Check out the trailer below.
