Hugo Weaving, Rose Byrne Join Robert Connolly's Omnibus THE TURNING
Robert Connolly's anthology feature The Turning has started to unveil some of the stellar cast who will be featured in the short stories directed by talent including Cate Blanchett, David Wenham, Jonathan auf der Heide and Claire McCarthy.

Hugo Weaving, Rose Byrne, Miranda Otto, Callan Mulvey, Susie Porter and Harrison Gilbertson will all join the feature, which is currently in extended production in Australia with each short film shooting separately. Some have been completed while others are shooting or yet to be done.

Based on Tim Winton's best-selling book of short stories all set in and around the fictional beachside town of Angelus, The Turning interweaves all the narratives, creating an intriguing and twisting central plot-line that generally centers around protagonist Vic Lang. There's no sense as to how this will play out in the feature, although we understand only 10-12 films (of the 17 short stories that are being made) will make the final cut.

Balibo and Underground director Robert Connolly is executive producing, the second feature for which he is taking such duties - the other being apocalyptic thriller These Final Hours, which is also shooting now in Perth.
