I'm excited about this movie, but this viral "teaser" is pretty weak. If people don't already know about this movie, this will steer them away as another hand-held Cloverfield. I hope that's not the case.

It's still eight months away from release, they've got TONS of time to release more conventional footage ...

It's inconceivable that this is a teaser for a Del Toro film. I haven't seen anything this bad in a long time. No camera would produce such a jittery, distorted image. What's the rationale for manipulating the footage to simulate something that no one has seen in decades. More bizarre, why does this affect the Breaking News graphics that have been superimposed over the footage after the fact? There's no reason for them to shake and change at all. This is just so amateur.

Right now this looks like some Asylum rip-off movie. I love giant robots and giant creatures, but this does not look like something from Del Toro, it looks cheap.

Gotta agree, this is looking like Cloverfield 2. They should really rethink this fake "viral" stuff.

Looks good. Hope that thing on the ship ain't big daddy, though. Way too small
