It was late August when word first broke that Warner Brothers were launching a Japanese remake of Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven with Ken Watanabe set to star and Hula Girls director Lee Sang-il at the helm.. Set in 1880 as Japan largely abandons the old ways to adopt a more modern stance, Watanabe stars as a a more traditional thinker, holding to the samurai ways, who takes on a job as a bounty killer.

The first images from the set of the upcoming film have arrived, including proper stills of Watanabe and the rest of the cast. The look and feel of things are very strong so far. Take a look in the gallery below and let us know what you think of the upcoming remake.
