SLC Readers Come Relive FAST TIMES With Me Tonight On The Big Screen!

Fast Times At Ridgemont High is arguably the single greatest teen comedy ever made (take that Dazed And Confused!), and for old geezers like me who saw it multiple times in the theater as a teen, it may also be the single most quotable film in the universe.

I've personally been hoping and praying for a proper bluray treatment (Criterion are you listening?), but while I sit and pine for that day to come, all of us Salt Lake City area fans of the Cameron Crow/Amy Heckerling masterpiece can take a little solace in the fact that it's getting a one-shot showing on the big screen. Short notice because it's tonight, but you still have time to slip on those checkered Vans and make your way down to Brewvies, our local 21 and over beers and movies speakeasy, here in Salt Lake City.

Even better? The movie is FREE!

Come see the film that launched the careers of people like Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason-Leigh, Phoebe Cates, and Eric Stolz. Have some food, drink some beer, and relive the 80's in grand fashion. Yours truly will be there, hanging out and enjoying the wild, movie loving crowd that is Brewvies.

Bookmark the official Brewvies site and keep your eyes peeled for many of the free retro-screenings they throw (last weekend I bore witness to the glory that was a The Monster Squad/The Goonies double feature), as well as the big screen showings of AMC show's like Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead.
