UK Film Festivals: CELLULOID SCREAMS 2012 First Titles!
UK ScreenAnarchy readers! Here's another plucky up-and-coming film festival touting a lineup of shock and gore, both prime cuts and nicely aged classics. What, is it Christmas already? Celluloid Screams in Sheffield have recently announced the first wave of their 2012 lineup and it's looking like a good 'un. Among other things, they offer you:

UK troubled-couple-in-peril zombie flick Before Dawn, executive produced by Marc Price of Colin fame (the £45 zombie movie),

Director Richard Bates Jr.'s surreal teen horror Excision, fresh from courting widespread acclaim at Sundance and Fantasia,

Crazed Canuck lo-fi horror comedy Manborg - Andrew and Josh praised this one for ScreenAnarchy on its festival run last year,

A UK premiere for bad science body-horror Cell Count - the cure is worse than the disease! - with director Todd E. Freeman in attendance,

A 25th anniversary screening of Dario Argento's classic Opera...

and more to come.

Celluloid Screams runs from 26th-28th October 2012 at the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield. Festival passes for the weekend are on sale now direct from the Showroom, and for further news about the festival lineup as it's announced, including special guests and events, you can check out the Celluloid Screams website.
