The Reason The Internet Exists: WASTELANDER PANDA To Get Full Episodes!
Every so often the internet comes along and gives you a giant gift of awesome, and the latest addition to this online treasure trove is Wastelander Panda. Put simply:

Wastelander Panda is the tale of Arcayus, the last remaining panda in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

The filmmakers have shot a three-minute Prologue (see below) to their epic story, and after this got traction online (thankyou internet!) they've raised enough funds to shoot three more episodes, which could herald a full series if successful. The plan is to launch these first three episodes at SXSW 2013. Jack White would be impressed by that synchronicity of threes.

I love that Aussies are making this sort of stuff, almost as if Mad Max has become a real part of their history - something they can draw upon as one would draw on any mythology or historical figure. Another one we've seen in a similar vein this year has been Post Apocalyptic Man

You can watch the Prologue for Wastelander Panda below, and stay tuned for how you can help send Arcayus to SXSW.  Because you know he'd own it.

Neat, but isn't, like, the regular world a post-apocalyptic wasteland if looked at from the point of view of panda bears? All the food is destroyed, paved over, gone. They live in an unhealthy, scattered, and thinly populated society dominated by predators, prostitution, and slavery. And, heck, New York basically is a futuristic prison. I mean, this movie is basically ripped from the headlines.

Well said, Sir David Attenborough.

Whispers: "...and it is here, in the arid interior of the Thunderdome, where nature's gentle panda can be found foraging in the radiated alkali for the emptiest chainsaw in the world."

Here, take this internet. You just won it.

I hoped you crouched when you whispered.
