FrightFest 2012: Trailer for Irish Horror THE INSIDE Promises More Than Screaming Teens

Statistics about missing persons flash across the screen as teens head out for some good times, but soon enough the crying and the screaming begin. Eoin C Macken's The Inside will have its world premiere at FrightFest this coming weekend, and the trailer presents the idea that it will be an unnerving, found-footage style thriller taking place in dark, probably subterranean locales.

But the official premise offers notice that additional twists and turns are in store:

While in a pawnshop a young man comes into possession of a second hand video camera; discovering a tape still inside he plays back the footage and witnesses a horrific series of events involving a group of teens in an undisclosed location. Using the footage as a guide he retraces the steps to where the events seemingly occurred. Deciding to investigate he discovers to his horror not only the truth of the events on the tape but comes face to face with a supernatural terror from which he may not escape....

Actor turned director Macken (BBC TV's Merlin) makes his feature debut. The cast includes Tereza Srbova, Emmett J. Scanlan, Sean Stewart, Natalia Kostrzewa, and Brian Fortune.

The film will screen at Empire Cinema, Leicester Square on Sunday 26th August 12.45 and also on Monday 27th 6.30PM.
