Today's case in point: An upcoming Japanese remake of Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven.
Backed by Warner Entertainment Japan, director Lee Sang-Il will be at the controls of the project, which will be set in the same time period as the original with the characters re-envisioned as samurai rather than cowboys.
