New SINISTER Trailer. Some Things Are Better Left In The Attic.
There is the old saying, 'skeletons in the closet', which I don't think quite covers '8mm home movies in your attic'. At least not when it comes to upcoming supernatural horror film Sinister.

SINISTER is a frightening new thriller from the producer of the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY films and the writer-director of THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE.  Ethan Hawke plays a true crime novelist who discovers a box of mysterious, disturbing home movies that plunge his family into a nightmarish experience of supernatural horror.

Our own Peter Martin saw this film at SXSW and had this to say...

Sinister aims for the subconscious, seeking to build an atmosphere of apprehension and fear, and leading to a disquieting dread in the pit of the stomach. That, in and of itself, sets it apart from nearly all recent American horror films, which rely on blood, guts, vampires, werewolves, or zombies to deliver their sometimes-enjoyable but more conventional thrills... Sinister seeks to get under the skin, and does so with the home movie footage, which recreates the scratchy, old 8mm look and is packed with disturbing imagery.

You will find a new trailer for the film after the break. The films hit theatres on October 5th, looking to take advantage of the crowd looking to gear up for Halloween.
