Glendyn Ivin's Fabulous LAST RIDE Finally Coming To US Screens
Heads up, America. Back in 2009 award winning Australian director Glendyn Ivin made his feature debut with Last Ride. Anchored by a career best performance from Hugo Weaving the arty thriller seemed to be one of those films destined to slip away unnoticed despite being very, very good but it appears to have been rescued from oblivion by the good folks at Music Box Films.

In Last Ride, a desperate father takes his ten year old son, Chook, on the run after committing a violent crime. As the two journey into the desert and an unknown future, their troubled relationship and the need to survive sees them battling the elements and each other. Chook eventually takes control and the choice he is forced to make has a devastating effect on both their lives.

This is a flat out fabulous picture that very much deserves to be sought out and supported. Last Ride opens July 6th in New York following a June 29th VOD release. Check the trailer below.
