THE INNKEEPERS Gets UK Cinema Release

Ti West's latest horror flick has gathered a healthy dose of praise from ScreenAnarchy writers (look no further than the review round-up to see why) so it's great to hear that The Innkeepers will be getting a theatrical release in the UK, courtesy of Metrodome Distribution.

After over one hundred years of service, The Yankee Pedlar Inn is shutting its doors for good. The last remaining employees - Claire (Sara Paxton) and Luke (Pat Healy)- are determined to uncover proof of what many believe to be one of New England's most haunted hotels.

As the Inn's final days draw near, odd guests check in as the pair of minimum wage "ghost hunters" begin to experience strange and alarming events that may ultimately cause them to be mere footnotes in the hotel's long unexplained history.

With horror anthology V/H/S (for which West directs one of six segments) picking up some stellar early reviews, it seems the distinctive director has really hit his stride.

You'll be able to see The Innkeepers on limited release in cinemas from 8th June, with the DVD following swiftly on 25th June.

Quite how this film keeps getting these periodic hypes I've no idea.
It's dreadful.

My US DVD arrived this morning. Will be at the cinema provided it can live up to House of the Devil.
