UPDATE: THE WACKNESS And ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE Director Jonathan Levine Out Of McG Produced DEAD SPY RUNNING

We'll keep this update short and sweet: Apparently we weren't the only ones who had a hard time picturing how All The Boys Love Mandy Lane director Jonathan Levine would mesh with a producer like McG. Talks have broken off without a deal and unless things change dramatically Levine will not be involved with Dead Spy Running.

As posted on March 12: Director Jonathan Levine is currently in negotiations to direct Dead Spy Running at Warner Brothers. Written by Jamie Moss and Stephen Gaghan, Gaghan was previously attached to direct as well but has since moved off the project. Kevin McCormick and McG will produce and while it's hard to see how an indie-friendly director like Levine will mesh with someone as commercially focused as McG, the fact is Levine has been moving in more commercial directions of late with his next picture to be released being the Summit-backed teen zombie picture Warm Bodies.
