Watch The Sales Trailer For Tobe Hooper's DJINN
Just days after the first images from Tobe Hooper's Djinn first surfaced along with rumors that the film was being buried at the behest of the royal family of the United Arab Emirates - rumors since denied by producers Imagenation - what appears to be the sales trailer shown to prospective distributors at the American Film Market in November has arrived online.

Should the rumors of the buyout / burial of the film prove to be true it's not too hard to see why it may have happened from this, with the female lead of the film clearly chafing against the expected role of women imposed by local custom and what appears to be a sexual relationship between the male lead and the mythical creature of the title. More to the point for those hoping for a rebound from the director of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Poltergeist, though, is that the trailer simply isn't frightening. It may very well be that there is no need for shadowy forces to explain the film's absence from public release or a festival premiere, it could simply be that those who have seen it aren't interested.

Time will tell but in the meantime you can take a look at the trailer below.
