What's that? The first two clips released from Indonesian action picture The Raid weren't enough for you? Well, with the US premiere coming tonight at Sundance here comes a third!
All hell breaks loose when an elite SWAT team, given orders to raid a
run-down Jakarta apartment building that houses the city's most
notorious crime boss, is forced to fight their way to freedom or die
trying.
The previous two clips focused largely on star Iko Uwais while this one give a good look at Joe Taslim - Indonesia's former national judo champion - in action. Man's handy with a gun. And while there's no age gate on it this is very definitely a red band sort of clip. Check it below.

That looks ridiculously awesome, but that dubstep score sounds atrociously bad (I'll admit that I'm not a fan of dubstep). Is there going to be any way to watch the version with the original score? Perhaps on video?
We've asked about including both audio tracks on the DVD / BluRay release but don't know yet. Will probably depend largely on the volume of other special features and things taking up space on the discs.
the clips sound awesome, I started watching the 4-one 1, but the excitement was just too much, and stopped it before the fighting began so as not to spoil anything. So glad to know that March 23rd is the US release date, just wondering about how many cities that this limited release will include. I'm assuming that NY/LA will get it on the 23rd, what are the chances of it being shown in Chicago or Detroit on the 23rd?!
also, sorry about another question Todd, but do you have any idea how long SPC will take to release the DVD? Sometimes they release films quickly on DVD, like Curse of the Golden Flower (about 3-4 months), and other times it's like 6 months. I hope The Raid gets the shortest theatrical-to-DVD release window possible!
So many clips, I need to stay away from it, it's spoiling me...
These aren't even remotely the big moments ... though I am rather fond of Joe delivering the head shot ...
Which cities get the film when is entirely Sony's call but it'll definitely be going wider than NY / LA. No fear there. The plan is to platform it out and go as wide as the audience will support it, basically. I don't think we've even started talking about DVD / BluRay release date yet, honestly. It's been all hands on deck with PR materials and getting ready for the theatrical release.
I've been told by anyone who's seen The Raid to believe the hype. I need to see this ASAP!
I sincerely hope that there are only 3 clips from the movie released to us before March. That's more than enough. I want to see the rest in theatre.
Its like seeing Hard Boiled in 1992.
