VAMPIRES on DVD. Does it bite?

This mock doc is a minor gem that horror fans shouldn't ignore and it's precisely the kind of flick ScreenAnarchy was created to catch from falling in the cracks. Filmmakers nervously converge on a vampire family struggling to live out their middle class dreams even as they face pressures from within and without to conform to centuries old vamp traditions. There's dad, who comes across like a creaky horror holdover stick in the mud, the mom who needs to find the equivalent of a vamp anti-depressant cocktail, Jr. who makes Jethro from the Beverley Hillbillies look sophisticated and a daughter desperate to be human again. Made in Brussels this farce is laugh out loud funny, well written and generally better than it's premise should allow. Highly recommended.
