Sundance 2012: Watch The Trailer For Somali Pirate Short FISHING WITHOUT NETS
As Sundance approaches, there's bound to be a flurry of teasers and trailers for the 2012 selection coming online, if not already. We might as well start with one from the shorts program, Cutter Hodierne's Fishing Without Nets. The synopsis is the simplest, most direct of the lot:

A story of pirates in Somalia, told from the perspective of the pirates themselves.

Intriguing stuff there. The locale and story alone should be setting this one apart from other selections, but what of the actual film? Well, the trailer unveils what looks to be quite the passion project, boasting some beautiful cinematography. Take a peek below. I suspect we'll be hearing  more from Hodierne in the future.
