Paul is having a bad day. A dog living in a human world someone has broken into his apartment and stolen his microwave. And his fish. And nobody will take him seriously.
A short film blending stop motion animation - anything involving the dog - and live action - the rest of the world - Paul is Israeli director Adam Bizanski's first foray into the world of shorts though his style may seem familiar thanks to his music videos for the likes of The Shins, Wolf Parade and Foals. Bizanski draws heavily on noir influences here and the result is something entirely compelling and unique, something not unlike how I picture many of Haruki Murakami's weirder moments if that makes sense.
