Elite Hunting Crosses the Atlantic In the Trailer For HOSTEL III

Well, it looks like Slovakia isn't the only stomping ground for the the sadistic and very wealthy patrons of Elite Hunting: this December, Hostel is making its way to Vegas in Hostel III, and we've got the trailer for the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release. The apparently very busy Eli Roth has handed directing duties over to Scott Spiegel who's done a lot of this and that over the last 30 years, with a screenplay by Michael D. Weiss, who's no stranger to DTV horror sequels.

Here's the synopsis:

High stakes gambling takes on a sinister new meaning in this third chapter of the terrifying HOSTEL series. While attending a bachelor party in Las Vegas, four friends are enticed by two sexy escorts to join them at a private party way off the Strip. Once there, they are horrified to find themselves the subjects of a perverse game of torture, where members of the Elite Hunting Club are hosting the most sadistic show in town.

So this is where we are now? Will the future involve the U.S. being seen as a great setting for third world-style exploitation pictures, all because of one little near-collapse of the economy? Seriously, though, I am curious how the premise of Hostel III will work on American soil, given that the part of the M.O. of Elite Hunting in the original was to snatch an international selection of young tourists from its relatively un-policed Eastern European setting. Do a lot of young people from around the world like to hit up the strip? Seriously, I'm asking, because I'm surprised that's a thing.

Hostel III will be hitting DVD and Blu-ray December 27th.
