Aronofsky's NOAH Is A Go

The flood waters are coming.

After months of speculation it's now official. Darren Aronofsky's big budget Biblical spectacle Noah is moving ahead, Paramount and New Regency having struck a deal to jointly finance the picture. John Logan is currently writing a new draft of the script based on the original by Aronofsky and Ari Handel with Scott Franklin set up to produce.

The question now is who will play thee title role? Christian Bale has been mentioned in connection to the part for some time now but there has been no official word yet with Bale wanting to finish his commitments to The Dark Knight Rises before officially - or at least publicly, he's already working on a new project with Terrence Malick - signing on to any other projects.
