New FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE Trailer Proves Tsui Hark "Gets" 3D
Arguably the most anticipated Chinese language film of the moment is Tsui Hark's upcoming wuxia epic FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE, to be presented in both IMAX and 3D. We have seen a couple of teaser trailers here and there, but nothing to really get audiences excited for the man's new film, but that should all change right now. The new trailer has just been released and not only does it give a much better insight into the epic scope of the project, the wirework and martial arts prowess on display, but also clearly shows that Tsui Hark understands how to use 3D to explore the depth of his frame. The film is set for a December release in mainland China and a January slot in Hong Kong, although there has been a fair amount of schedule shuffling already. Suffice to say it all looks pretty badass. Check it out below:
