Full Trailer For Dystopic French Scifi CARRE BLANC

Back in mid-June ScreenAnarchy was proud to premiere three clips from Jean-Baptiste Leonetti's brilliant dystopic science fiction film Carre Blanc. We had the chance to see the film at a market screening in Cannes and walked away enormously impressed by the picture and very much of the opinion that it was easily as good as anything selected in the main Cannes program and a good deal better than many. To be blunt, we love this film.

Many details of the plot and setting are very deliberately being kept out of the public eye for now but I described it like this when posting those three clips: Carre Blanc is a near future arthouse science fiction picture that fuses the dark absurdism of Franz Kafka with the icily precise visuals of a Tarkovsky, the picture is a slyly hilarious commentary on capitalism gone badly wrong. It's a grim commentary, to be sure, but one that laughs as it twists the knife.

Soon to screen at the Sitges festival the French release is coming up and that means that a full trailer has now followed those initial three clips. Check it below.
