Having its world premiere today as part off the Fantasia Festival in Montreal is Michael Axelgaard's new found footage horror film Hollow. Boasting unusually strong performances and characters - to say nothing at all of the unusual, leafy nature of its villain - Hollow puts a fresh enough spin on the found footage style of horror film to make an impact.
The picture revolves around a quartet of friends and a mysterious tree, a tree that stands at the center of centuries of legends and has been the site of multiple hangings and suicide pacts. Could it be that the legends are true and the tree's malevolent influence is seeping into the group?
