SXSW 2011: Trailer For Joseph Kahn's DETENTION Plays Like A High School Slasher DONNIE DARKO On Speed

Brace yourself because Joseph Kahn's Detention is coming to SXSW, it's bringing teen slasher Cinderhella with it, and everybody talks really, really fast! MTV have just premiered the trailer for the latest from the director of Torque and while I can see a certain percentage of the world being driven absolutely mental by it I can also see the remaining percentage of the population being driven absolutely mental by it. Only in a different way. Josh Hutcherson both stars and serves as a producer on the film. Dane Cook also stars and reminds people that he first became popular by being funny. Which he is again. Check the trailer below!

That looks absolutely intolerable.

The trailer does nothing to remind me of Donnie Darko(even on amphetamines), and how did Dane Cook remind everyone of how he became so popular by being funny? Is that some ironic joke?

The only way Dane Cook could remind anyone of how he became so popular is to talk about Myspace, how much he adores his fans, and continue to not take his Ritalin. His rabid fan base consisted of frat guys whose idea of comedy was Family Guy and 12-15 year old girls who were his BFFs on Myspace.
