Malaysia's James Lee Goes Martial Arts With THE COLLECTOR
[With word that Lee has now wrapped on The Collector we have added three additional stills to our gallery below.]

Malaysia's James Lee is a busy, busy man.

With the horror comedy Sini Ada Hantu freshly released, another horror comedy (Help! My Girlfriend Is A Vampire!) and the hard edged horror Clay Pot Curry Killers in the can and fighting to be cleared for release you'd think he would have had enough for the time being. I mean three films in one year is good, right? Not for Lee. He's on to film number four, now shooting martial arts film The Collector.

Lee first rose to international prominence as part of the early wave of Malaysian arthouse directors directing arthouse hits like The Beautiful Washing Machine before taking a hard turn into genre territory with 2008's ultra bloody slasher Histeria. Turns out that genre urge wasn't just a whim because while he's continued to move back and forth between arthouse and mainstream the genre film is now clearly dominating his schedule as he picks up the pace to a Miike-like rate.

Details on The Collector are still scarce but you can find a gallery of four production images below and more on his official Facebook page.
