Medical Trials Gone Wrong In Ian Clark's GUINEA PIGS
Back in my college days medical trials were a fact of life. Several of my friends financed their higher education by volunteering to be poked, prodded and drugged up in the name of medical science while one spent an entire year in drug trials to finance the creation of a custom built, solid body, Flying V, electric ukulele which he used to perform punk rock songs about the She-Hulk whilst draped with a pink feather boa and sometimes wearing a Mexican wrestler mask. I'm not making that up. This is him being licked by a cat.

But you know why drug trials pay so well? Because the doctors aren't always sure what's going to happen. And that very simple fact provides the basis for Ian Clark's Guinea Pigs, a found-footage style horror picture now in production. They're saying very little about it so far beyond that the story revolves around eight volunteers in a drug trial gone wrong but even from what little footage they've included in the trailer it's easy to see that this is one of the more atmospheric pictures of the type.
