TIFF 2010: Gorgeous First Images From Firas Momani's THE ADDER'S BITE
Oh, my. One thing I know for certain about Firas Momani's upcoming short film The Adder's Bite: It's going to be gorgeous to look at. Due to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it was described in the Canadian lineup announcement as "a quasi sci-fi choreography ... a haunting rendering of the micro world of parasites", we've got a look at the first two images from the film and they are simply fantastic. Yes, please. More on this one soon.

I was on the jury that gave this 'best international short' at Fantasia this year. Not my favourite film of the bunch but it was the collective jury consensus, but it is evocative and creepy and has this weird underbelly to innocence, and all that a public swimming pool, and its adjacent change rooms represent.
